If you want a dry, but tender chicken sandwich, then this is the place for you! I personally hate pickles, but these pickles I would ask for more if I really wanted to. Their fries are good too. Their tenders are amazing, but they’re too big, so I can never finish them, but I do recommend them

The Food would have been awesome. If my Togo order hasn't been packaged in a cardboard box. By the time I was back at the office. My sandwich and fries were soggy. Also, their idea of bacon is just wide strips of ham. Other than that, the flavor and heat of the sandwich was perfect. I will give them another try and dine in next time.

Got takeout from here and loved it! The tenders were delicious and spicy. Don’t underestimate their spicy options, you can feel the burn at each level and it definitely burns more the hotter you make it. I appreciated the amount of pickle slices that I got in the box. The toast was average but if you dip it in the special sauce it makes it better. The sauce is the cherry on top, makes the fries, tenders, and toast even more delicious. If you’re looking for a hot chicken place, I would definitely check this place out.

Probably just had one of my favorite hot chicken sandwiches of all times. Find out why?! I live near Hot Lola and have always been eyeing it out because I love spicy food, I love spicy chicken sandwiches and I love putting my behind through flames and fire. So finally came the day when I went to Hot Lola’s to try out their Chicken Sandwich on the spiciest level. This sandwich was a fiery, burning yet packed with tons of flavor treat. I enjoyed each and every bite of it. It was not too greasy and not too messy to eat. The buns were both covered with sesame seeds and they were delightful. The chicken was crisp and juicy. I also got the coleslaw which was fresh. Appropriately seasoned and not creamy or drenched in mayo. The place was clean and the staff was amazing. All in all Hot Lola gets a 4.7/5 from me. Do check this place out!

Some of the best hot chicken sandwiches in the DMV. This is my first time at this location, and I have frequented the one in Ballston many times, and the quality does not change across locations. The fried chicken is huge and the chicken is incredibly juicy and tender. That along with the amazing waffle fries and its like an elevated version of chick-fil-a in every single way. I order the 6 spicy which is halfway to the max and that is plenty spicy. I would warn people that the max spice is incredibly spicy and to be careful.

My sons and I tried the fried chicken thigh sandwich and fries. It’s not a chicken breast, it’s a chicken thigh. Extremely fast service and great quality food. The only thing is the customer service, cleanliness and not very generous amounts of food. They don’t even look at you and don’t keep the counter or soda and service area clean; which is a concern during COVID.

Imagine the best spicy chicken sandwich you possibly can. This is better. I recommend OG hot level for a kick in the mouth. Flavor wise this delivers at any spice level though. Marinated chicken, combined with piping hot super crispy crunchy outside is just amazing. The spicy seasoning mixes with the small amount of oil on the outside of the chicken and gives your mouth a smackdown of deliciousness. Hot Lola's is best the reason to go to Ballston Quarter mall. *mic drop* Fries are good too.

I have to rave about Hot Lola's of the service. I came in just as they were opening, literally as the door was unlocked, and the staff facilitated a rather extensive order PERFECTLY. The staff helped me through knowing which heat level to order, offered to provide the sandwiches deconstructed (had a long ride and didn't want them to get soggy) and provided the perfect amount of sauces and sides to fill out bellies. When asked about the ownership, I was unexpectedly greeted by the owner himself and had a great exchange about his journey in the restaurant business and the inspiration behind Hot Lola's. Experience and service are big for me, sometimes more than the taste of the food. Hot Lola's executes in all of the above. Will certainly be back. Oh! Spice hunters beware: the 'Flippin' Hot' is... Flipping HOT! Certainly put us on our backs, begging for mercy. Consume with courage. Haha.
